Description & Goal

We would like to enable accounts to operate as a business by sharing account numbers, and billing info, and enabling buyers to make purchases for them. Then grouping these orders into one order history for them to view.
In addition, we would like the SMP admin side to be able to make accounts business. Where both the business and SMP admin could add and remove buyers from their accounts.
In final, redo the create an account process for the platform that matches these new roles within the platform.

Discovery

I interviewed our customer service admins and understood how the current B2B user account is setup, which is more like a B2C with shared order history.

Goal

We would like to enable accounts to operate as a business by sharing account numbers, and billing info, and enabling buyers to make purchases for them. Then grouping these orders into one order history for them to view.
In addition, we would like the SMP admin side to be able to make accounts business. Where both the business and SMP admin could add and remove buyers from their accounts.

New Roles & Capabilities

Through user stories I created the visual above describing new functions (blue), already a function (gray), service admin function (green), questionable function (yellow), and not an option (red).

Userflow

I showed the new layout of the account tabs and separated the user account, which would move to the profile, and business account information will live in its tab. I also wanted to show the business user where they can add and remove buyers from their accounts.
